Labor Doula

 

Annette is a certified labor doula, having received her training through Madriella. She also has plans to receive certification through DONA, International. Annette has attended 34 births, plus the births of her 4 children. And counting….

 

Annette has been attending births since she was just 18… After having her first baby at 23, she started on a journey as a Doula,  helping those she knew and loved on their own birth stories. After a little time, she was being referred to others, and helping others having babies!

 

Her own first birth was in a hospital with the support of family and her very best friend. Three subsequent births were at home births with Amazing Cerfied Nurse Midwives.

 

She has attended many types of births, home births as well as hospital births all over the state! Annette has been part of planned cesarean, emergency cesarean, natural, water birth, pitocin induced, epidural planned and unplanned, twins and premature births.

 

Annette says “My belief of labor and delivery is this … its about YOU… not me! As your Doula, I will stand for what you believe in and what you want in your birth. And that may change in the throws of labor, my goal is to walk with you through those changes and give you the best support, information and encouragement that I know how!”
